Dog Coats:
Please measure the girth of the dog to determine which size coat you require. The Velcro strap allows upward adjustment of approximately 8cms. For example, a small coat will fit girth size 60 – 68 cm.

Material Fabric Information
Colan manufacture garments from several types of fabric. The main five are Solid Polyester Mesh, PU Nylon (or PU Coated Polyester), PVC Backed Nylon, Titex and Polycotton.
Solid Polyester Mesh
- The most popular fabric we use
- Available in a wide range of fluorescent and non fluorescent colours
- A machine washable fabric even with print and reflective/Reflexite tape on
- A lightweight material that looks solid but has tiny pin prick holes in it
- Good for Summer use as comfortable to wear
- Not waterproof
Suggested washing instructions – 40 degree wash, preferably with non-biological washing powder if they are printed.
PU Nylon/PU coated Polyester
- A strong lightweight Nylon based material
- Sponge/wipe clean only
- Shower proof
- Available in a wide range of fluorescent and non fluorescent colours.
Fluorescent yellow and orange are not available in PU Nylon, they have been replaced with PU Coated Polyester, but for uniformity and ease of understanding on the part of the customer we often still refer to them as PU Nylon.
PVC Backed Nylon
- A strong durable Nylon based material (heavier weight than PU Nylon)
- Sponge/wipe clean only
- Shower proof
- Available in a wide range of fluorescent and non fluorescent colours
Polycotton
- A soft Polyester Cotton based material
- Good for in-door and outdoor use
- A machine washable fabric even with print and reflective/Reflexite tape on
- Available in a wide range of fluorescent and non fluorescent colours

Titex/Motex
- Mainly used for Motorcycle garments
- Strong durable fabrics
- Available in Fluorescent Yellow and Orange
- Sponge/wipe clean only
- Shower proof
Reflective Bands
Glass Bead Reflective Strip
- Silver/grey tape
- 50mm wide
- Highly reflective
- Conforms to BSEN471 standards for high visibility clothing
Reflexite Reflective Strip
- Silver/white
- 50mm wide
- Superior prismatic material
- Highly reflective
- Conforms to BSEN471 standards for high visibility clothing
